Since starting my new job I’ve had to get used to working in an office where there’s generally only two of us here. Today my boss is off so I’m on my own. So I got to wondering, do I work better in a crowded office or on my own?

I don’t think that I can be very scientific here but I do generally get more done when I’m in a quiet space, away from distractions and other people. In larger offices people tend to interrupt and make requests “just because you’re there” making it much harder to keep the workflow steady.

But there is one thing I miss – office banter. It’s sometimes just too quiet and I crave human interaction from time to time. Perhaps that’s why I’ve taken refuge in Twitter?
